    Error message...Please help

I keep getting the same error message when I go to convert my FLAC file to Mp3 (Lame) or WAV. The message is "Codec required to compress file could not be opened". I first downloaded the trial version then installed the Mp3 encoder license for $14. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I appreciate the help.

    Re: Error message...Please help

Please run dMC Configuration and copy the configuration to the clipboard and paste it here.

Also tell us what OS you have and what settings you chose for the mp3 conversion. What are the original settings of your Flac file.

        Re: Error message...Please help

My conversion settings are Mp3 (Lame) 320 kbps bitrate, joint stereo and 44100Hz, although I have moved these settings all around to try and get it to work and nothing happens.

I got the files from livewidespreadpanic.com and I emailed them too. They said to make sure that the converter is working properly but they also suggested that the files might be corrupt.

Christina, thank you for your help. I just downloaded one of the songs as a test and it converted it no problem. The files were corrupt. Thank you for your quick reply and have a good night.

            You're welcome.

Yes, corrupted files are usually the problem when all else appears OK.

Glad it got sorted. Nasty coincidence :p
