CD Input will not recognize new USB DVD writer

I just got a DVD reader/burner for my laptop. Real Player recognizes it and will store the music CDs no problem but in their format. But DMC CD Input does not give me the choice to select the new USB 2.0 drive for CD input. WMP also recognizes the drive and will store the tracks but without titles and singers.

I have tried restoring ASPIs and pretty well everything else on this site. Any ideas? WinXP SP2. Thanks.

Try the different communication methods, at least Windows Built in method will work.

I tried Windows Internal and it did not work either.

I'm guessing you have clicked the Options button and tried to change the CD drive?

I am not sure Options button you refer to. When I start the Audio CD Input module, I get no choices for input device.

Click the big Options button along the top of Audio CD Input. You will see a drop-down selection where you can change your CD drive.
