Question about "from Cd to Flac and than to Wave"

Hello,

I have a question, if I convert music from a cd (I think the regular music cd have Wave format) to Flac and suddently I want again the original file (Wave) because I want to burn a cd and listen it on my stereo or in case in the future some new format lossless will be new standard in the market, do I loose any information during conversion ?

The quality still remain the same of the original cd?

If you originally ripped and audio cd to uncompressed PCM wav (16-bit, 2-channel stereo, 44.1KHz) , converted that to Flac, and converted again that Flac to an uncompressed wav of the same specs, there will be no loss, because Flac is lossless .

But also remember that with dMC Audio CD Input you can of course rip directly to Flac. And dCW can burn again an audio CD directly from Flac. So no need to go through the uncompressed wav step.
