    in need of help UNinstalling

To start: my appoligies if this is the wrong place for this letter...

I need some help in unninstalling dBpowerAMP Music Converter and dMC Audio CD Input (not sure of version numbers, but were downloaded from link on your web-site yesterday) and dBpowerAMP codec-WMAv8.

Originally downloaded and installed above files to convert some WMA files to .wav files. All worked well. The problem arose when I uninstalled your files to go back to using Winamp v2.81(x86). I used the provided uninstaller that came with your software. Received prompt stating programs had been sucessfully removed. When I went back to using Winamp all worked well until I tried converting some .mp3's to .wav's. Be advised I am no newbie to ripping, coding and de-coding music files, I have been doing it for years now without any problems. I downloaded Winamp, uninstalled the version of winamp I was using and re-installed it again. I still was able to do everything I wanted in winamp EXCEPT (yes, I am shouting here) convert .mp3's to .wav's.

The error message I get when trying to convert to .wav files is: "Nullsoft Disk Writer Plug-in v2.0c cannot create output file:"file pathname".

It is my opinion that a few of the files that should have been deleted were not deleted. I have seen this problem when changing Cd buring programs. The old one dose not want to give up control of the computer and life becomes miserable until the ofending files are deleted.

Who knows the files that must go or the steps I need to take to get back to using Winamp again???:headbang:

I have been impressed with the performance of your progarms, but am unwilling to install and use your whole suite because I am afraid of being taken over and never getting back to my WinAMP again. Any help with these issues would be gladly used.

Please reply in this thread or email me, thanks Grandpa T

My music converter does not interfere with Winamp in any way, you will need to ask this one on the Winamp Forum, I don't use winamp at all.

      Spoon:

I have read this in other posts: "Spoon you the man". That goes from me to you too. The problem I had was with the OS getting unstable on me. Reloaded windows and everything works great.

Thanks for the quick responce, too.

I am going to work with your application and see how it works for me.
