    installing codec

well, i read the stickies and moved my 64 bit lame codec to the lame folder, but now the codec wont open.

    any ideas?

EDIT : well, i found that the codec wont open with audacity, so it may be bad. while im here, does anyone know of a 64 bit lame codec that works with v11?

    Re: installing codec

Well the problem is that your trying to use a 32-bit program to open a 64-bit program. Also, are you currently running in a 64-bit operating system? If you are not, I'm pretty sure there is no way you can launch 64-bit anything.

      Re: installing codec

i am running xp pro x64 so thats not a problem. i am not too worried about the codec now as i found that the lame 4 alpha is awesome. i can encode at 320kps at 43x. i'll take that speed increase! its also nice to rip an entire cd in 2 minutes.

If it is the dll then no, if it is the .exe then yes it should work.
