SONY Pocket Player

I have the SONY VGF-AP1 Portable Music Player.
It plays ATRAC, ATRAC3, and ATRAC3plus file formats.
Is there a codec to convert these files to .mp3, or from .mp3 to ATRAC?

ATRAC is a proprietary format made by Sony. Only Sony programs, such as Sonic Stage, will convert to ATRAC. Be aware that is next to impossible to convert songs from ATRAC to anything else, so keep your originals!

I don't think it's that impossible.

Use this winamp codec to decode atrac files:

Then use this dMC plugin that allows dMC to borrow winamp lugins:

http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-winamp.htm

The only thing is to remember to make sure that when SonicStage or Connect rip/encode your files that it doesn't copy protect them. You have to uncheck that box every time.
