    Wave Sound ?

On most of the music I burn the sound appears to be of good quality however, some of the songs have a lot of noise/distortion etc.

I checked my wave in and the stero mix is in the lower part of the is set at 3 clicks from the bottom and the line in and cd audio is set at 5 clicks from the bottom.

Under properties the box for recording is checked and the slot for playback is not but I notice if I change from recording to playback and the boxes in that area are check and in the recording the stero, misc. line in and cd audio are checked.

Are these settings correct and if I may ask why do some of the music after being burned and different playback sound qualitys if being played on a cd player. I am guessing that some of the sound being recording direct from the i/e would have some distortion, but a couple of the songs I burned and converted to wave gave me the most distortion. I must say though that I am surprised good sound quality I get on a playback of a burned cd.

    Thanks :smile2:

    Re: Wave Sound ?

Different tracks have different maximum audio levels, distortion is normally a sign that the level is going over maximum and clipping, try lowering the volume on the audio source.

Where were the tracks from to begin with? That may also be a considerable factor with your distortion problem.
