I have installed dBpower AMP converter, and paid for the registered version and installed it also. But I still get a message that I need to register, and it will not open and convert music files. Please advise. Thank you,

Yes, I have done all of these things. It is still asking to be registered, even though I have installed the registered version.

Uninstall all dbpoweramp, reboot pc, then install dmc-registered-r11.5.exe

Thanks! I uninstalled the program, and rebooted. But when I go to download the fully registered version, the only version available is the trial version, which has expired for me. The only way to register that is to pay again. Sigh.

Unless you have only just registered dMC you should be able to download the latest registered version using the link http://www.dbpoweramp.com/registration/

Why didn't you save it the frst time you donwloaded it? Wasn't that option presented to you?

If you have not made other attempts at downloading teh registered version, you can pick it up again from the email sent to you afetr you paid.

Ok, so now when you re-download it, make sure you save it first to your HD. After that you can run it from where you saved it to do the installation.

Never fear - I did save it to my HD. I doesn't work, and if I can't get it to work, I'm going to call my credit card company and withdraw my payment. I got nothing for my money so far. I'm going to keep trying for a few more days.

Follow all the instructions to uninstall everything and reinstall. It has no reason not to work if you do things properly.

What we're trying to do is figure out the problem. Since the registered installs work for many other people, the problem is apparently on your end.
Did you uninstall and reinstall all of the programs while you were signed in either as Administrator or an account with Administrator priviledges? What OS are you using?

Yes, I did every uninstall and reinstall while logged in as admin. I looking at other threads for possible problems and solutions, I discovered where to look for files that were not deleted during uninstall. I didn't have to go into the registry so I won't share that one. The one that was sticking around causing problems was 'C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpowerAMP'. After deleting that, I went to the retrieval link, even though it isn't supposed to work this soon. It worked, and now I am good to go!
