How do I rip a music CD to Apple Lossless to store on my iPod?

I just got an iPod 30 GB and want to store my CD music collection on the iPod in Apple Lossless .m4a. I'm confused. How do I do that with dMC?

You will need to install an appropriate codec. You can either use the iTunes mp4/m4a encoder codec from Codec Central (see tab link at top of page) or the Aplle Lossless beta encoder (does not require iTunes) available from the Beta section of this forum here: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=10154 .

In either case, for tagging purposes you will want to also download and install the M4a/Mp4 (the first one listed on the Mp4/AAC page) from Codec Central.

    Best wishes,
    Bill
