Help-MP3 convert does not show up

    Help!

We are trying to install the Converter. I have tried several times, uninstalled and more. We have bought the powerpak - and still nothing.

What happens is that when we try to convert a file, the only option in the drop down menu is to convert to wave. It does not list the rest, does not list mp3. We even tried to download a new codec...nothing.

    Please help!

Have you installed the program while you are in an account with Administrator rights? Are you running the program in an account with Administrator rights?

Re: Help-MP3 convert does not show up

Is everything from dB installed to the same folder, namely the one proposed by the installer: c\program files\illustrate\dbpoweramp ?

Did you reboot at all in between all these attempts?

Do you have any funny programs lurking on your pc like WindowsBlinds or any other such things?

Any other audio conversion programs that may clash?

        What OS do you have?

And what does dMC Configuration have to say about your installation? That program is part of the dB group. You will find it in Start > Programs > dBpowerAMP Music Converter.

If you have the latest version (R11.5) you have the Copy to clipboard option.

Is it possible you installed dMC R12 alpha ?

          We are running Windows 2000

No other audio programs that I know of conflicting

We did have it install to a different folder - but all the files look like they are there.

            >Mp3 (Lame): Lame Version 3.96.1 [ .mp3 ]

That shows the mp3 encoder is installed and working (otherwise it wouldn't read .mp3 as the extension. It is not showing up in the drop down menu?

Re: Help-MP3 convert does not show up

If you have installed in 2 different locations they may be conflicting. Maybe the expired version is what is being run from right click, rather than the registered one.
