DB Power AMP Ate my files

I just downloaded DB power amp to preview and attempted to convert several Ogg files to mp3 using the DMC file selector. I had no problem converting individual files or folders, but when I used to file selector to select several folders, the program acted as though it was converting, yet after it was done all the Ogg files were gone. Can they be recovered? How can one convert more than one file folder or file without having to select each one individually?

Did you select to delete the source files ater conversion?
File Selector is the way you select multiple folders to convert at once.

Im having the same trouble. Im trying to convert files to OGG using DMC file selector. I thought it may have been the "delete files after convertion" option. I tried it both ways and it still didn't convert anything ultimately.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a flaw when converting to OGG?

Which Ogg codec did you download? The normal one or one of the optimized ones? You have to have either the normal one or both the normal and an optimized one in order for the conversion to work. Also, they have to be the same version. b3 goes with Vorbis 1.1.0 and b4 goes with Vorbis 1.1.1.

This is not a problem with the codecs, it is a problem with the DMC file selector.
I've been using these ogg codecs for a while now (b4 with 1.1.1) and I just heard about the file selector and tried it out.
DMC goes through the normal encoding process as if I did it without the File Selector, but when it finishes there are no converted files at all.
I gave it the option to convert to the same directory and everything, but still nothing...

            I figured it out.
When I set the option in File Selector to convert to "Keep path when convert" I have to change the option later to simply the C: drive rather than "same folder as original" when the window pops up and asks you what file format to convert to.
Kinda odd that you have to do that rather than simply keeping it as "same folder as original," but there obviously has to be a reason for it.

The "Keep Path" is not quite the same thing as the "original folder". You can uncheck "keep path" and then select "same folder as original". But not both together; as you found out they are repetitive. The keep path option is there to keep the path of the file if you want to convert the file and then move it to a different directory. It keeps the same folder structure so if you want to mass-convert your lossless directory and move it to another base folder, you do "keep path" and uncheck "same folder as original" and you keep your folder structure but have the new and old files separated.
