    Can't Edit Tag info anymore???

I mistakenly updated iTunes. Then removed it and installed an older version so I could convert files to MP3. Apparently, at some point dBPoweramp was affected by this change, as I can no longer right mouse click on an MP3 file and edit it's tag info.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Run dMC Configuration and reset all that.

You can find the program dMC Configuration in Start > Programs > dBpowerAMP Music Converter > Configuration > dMC Configuration

Click that and you will have either a screen mentioning Windows Shell Integration options (click them all) or, with the latest version, a tab at the bottom of the screen for dBpowerAMP Settings. You will see options for right clicking from WIndows Explorer. Select all of them.

      You are a Saint!

The documentation says to reconfigure but doesn't go as far as your instructions.

      Thank you.

Any tips on the ID3v variations?

Nope. I just use whatever is the default. I don't rely on them generally as I'm not a savvy user. My needs are modest - mostly concerning compression for optimal web usage.

        I have this currently:

        ===ID Tag Options===
        AAC
        Tag Creation: Ape2
        Write ID3v2 Unicode: No
        Write ID3v2 Version: v2.3

        Flac
        Tag Creation: Vorbis Comments
        Write ID3v2 Version: v2.3

        Mp3
        Tag Creation: Smart Ape2 & ID3v1
        Write ID3v1 Version: v1.1
        ID3v1 UTF8 Read: Yes
        ID3v1 UTF8 Write: Yes
        Write ID3v2 Unicode: No
        Write ID3v2 Version: v2.3

        Windows Media Audio
        Write Track Number as: WM/TrackNumber

Good or bad, this suits me and if it doesn't, well, I can reset them as needed. I don't deal with audio files in bulk.
