Crashes with MusicConverter.exe

I have Sveta(Fully Loaded) installed and continually get MC crashes during conversions to my ipod 5g. To exclude the Sveta/ipod part, I have run conversions to a folder on my c: drive. Same result.

I have uninstalled, cleaned registry, and reinstalled, same result.

Machine profile: MSI K8N Neo4 mb, AMD Athlon 64 X 2 (dual core). 1 GB ram.

I typically select 2000 files or so with DMC File Selector, and peform a Smart conversion of my Mp3s (if file is less than 192k do no conversion). The conversion gets 12%-15% through and crashes out.

Any ideas?

Does it crash when converting single files, or just your large group? Try doing a smaller sample and see if you can find the problem file.

Seems to make no difference. I have tried one group of files (podcasts) then another (music only) then some from each. same result.

What file types do you have checked in File Selector under Converting?

What type of crash? does the whole computer lock up?

Filetypes selected: only .mp3...

and no, only MC crashes (stops). Not PC.

However I have seen on some web sites, comments about issues with XP and AMD Athlon X2 cpus (dual core) causing application problems.

I'm using dMC, XP, and an Athlon X2. However, I don't believe I've used File Selector for anything, but I have ripped more than few CDs with my computer.
