I was not quite sure and didn't find the answer in the forum so I ask:

If I buy "dBpowerAMP Music Converter 'Power Pack' & Mp3 Encoder License" does this mean I also buy the registration for all future updates?

This is correct.

Make sure you save the registration details (email) and receipt somewhere safe, in case you ever need to rebuild your system.


When you download the registered version save yourself future possible trouble by downloading it and saving it on your pc befer installing it. Then you can always reinstall it without having to redownload again the registered version. New releases can be installed on top of it and thus preserve registered status.

Strictly speaking this isn't true though is it? I purchased the power pack a few years ago and now I have had to re-install, I find that my registered power pack doesn't register.

I have looked through the forums and find others asking the same thing and the answer is that the power pack is different now (due to an upgrade) and so you need to buy the new one.

I know this is a very reasonably priced item and I don't want to knock it, but at the end of the day if you are telling people that it includes all upgrades, that's not really true.

No, the PowerPack you bought years ago still entitles you to the new PowerPack. In fact, if you bought it before dMC r11 when the mp3 license was introduced, you are also entitled to Sveta.
