Flac to MP3 - horrible sound!

    Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help. I'm going to try to describe the problem, but it's a bit difficult.

I'm brand new at this and converted my first flac to mp3 file last night. After it converted and I tried listening in Windows Media Player, it was really, really, really slow like it was being played in slow motion. It's almost like a warped sound. Could it be something I had set incorrectly?

    Thank you!

Check the frequency of both your FLAC file and the MP3 file. This is done easily by right-clicking on the file and clicking "Edit Tag". The frequency and other information is at the bottom of the resultant window.

Thanks for the advice. Can you tell me....what am I looking for with the frequency?

I don't think I tried the wav. I'll have to take a look at these things tonight when I get a chance.

        Thanks again!

Normally someting Hz, most of the time either 44100Hz, 48000Hz or the shortened 44.1KHz and 48KHz.
