    APL files won't be supported until dMC r12, which is in early alpha now.

        So then edit the .apl file in notepad and you'll see the names (and possibly url's) of the actual audio files. It's those files you need to work with.

        But some information mentions .apl are Moneky's Audio Image Link files. Is that the same as a playlist?

          Many times, you can have a program that rips a CD to one large audio file and the .apl file tells supporting players where the breaks are and the player reads the file as if each track is a separate file instead of one large file.
