HEIC to JPG

It would be a great addition if the Apple *.HEIC format could be converted to JPG.
Will there be an update at some point?

R3 arrives very soon, and has HEIC decoder.

When I convert HEIC to JPG and then add the pictures to a usb and display it on my picture frame I dont see the picture but just blurred colors horizontal lines, email support have not heard anything back from them.

I am able to convert some HEIC files to JPG successfully. However, when I try to convert other HEIC files to JPG, I receive "Invalid data found when processing input." Is this because of "Live Photos" data being written inside of them?
