    Album art

I have converted an MP3 file to Flac with dbpoweramp, so far so good as it moves the file to my Naim Unity Core. However it dose not show the album art work, I am using PerfectTunes to get the art work to show. What am I doing wrong, I have messed on for several days without any luck.

A few questions, why convert mp3 to flac?

Your mp3 file, does it have album art? right click on it >> Edit ID Tags, you can do the same for the FLAC file after it is created. If they have album art then look to how the Naim is being served the files. Consider Asset UPnP.

And does it show album art when you edit the tags for one of the files? On macOS it could be under dBpoweramp >> Edit tags with dBpoweramp

Thanks, when I open tags it only shows the coloured dots and nothing else.

Then your files do not contain album art, you can look at PerfectTUNES for quickly adding the art.

Thanks for your help, I can get it to work now. I am not getting anywhere fast, but a least I am making some slow progress. If I rip a CD I can choose the quality level, IE 1 to 9. Do you know what the Flac level is when converting an MP3 file. I have hundreds of MP3 files to convert plus obtain the album art. What is the best/fastest way to do this.

You would not convert mp3 to FLAC, there is no point.

To obtain album art you need to process the existing files, not convert them

The level of flacs represent just a compression rate, which has no impact on the audio quality, but the file sizes.

It has been asked before, but why are you converting from MP3 to FLAC? Audio data has already been discarded during the initial conversion to MP3, converting to FLAC just increases the file size.

The FLAC compression level tells the encoder how much effort (time) to put into compressing the audio. The output will always be lossless and the decoding time is largely unaffected, so 5 is a common choice.

I know nothing about the Naim system, but typically you'll want to store album artwork in a file called folder.jpg in the directory containing your tracks e.g.
                            %ALBUMARTIST%/%ALBUM%/CD%DISCNUMBER%/%TRACKNUMBER% - %TITLE%.ext
                            %ALBUMARTIST%/%ALBUM%/CD%DISCNUMBER%/folder.jpg

EDIT: It looks like the forum doesn't notify me of subsequent replies, or I didn't see it.
