Header Metadata defaults - can they be personalised (Mac)

    Hi,

Is there a way to add default fields to the header in CD ripper? I always add in the Label details, but the only way I can do this is by adding a Meta field in the bottom box on every CD I rip, even though 'Label' shows as a column.

Currently it displays Artist, Genre, Disc, Album Artist, Album, Year, Compilation (tick/untick box) and Composer. I'd love to just have a field for Label so I can fill it in rather than having to + Label each time.

Working on a Mac Sonoma 14.4.1, dB version 2024-04-01 (2)

CD Ripper options >> Metadata & ID Tag

add a custom tag Label and that will ensure is always in the Tags section at the bottom to be filled in (if no tracks are selected then changing, changes for all tracks).

Hi Spoon, thanks - though when I try adding Label that way it shows in the bottom but does not add the detail to the CD tracks - see images that I hope show it. Also, is there no way to add Label to the grey fields at the top of the screen? I know for classical it comes up with lots of extra options for movement etc. so would that be something that can be added into the header bar rather than metadata fields in the box at the bottom

          Not sure what that means...
Are the header fields configurable, or is any Metadata like Labels that we add manually always going to be in the Tags section?

The bug was if you edit in the tag list in the lower screen, it was not updated to the track listing.

The top header is not customizable sorry.

You're not supposed to type <Label> in the box, this way it creates a new field tag "<Label>" instead of "Label", effectively not writing intended values to your Label field.
