CD Ripping Speed

Hello,

Is there a way to reduce the speed of the cd Reader when using CD ripper ?
I know I already found a speed adjustement somewhere but I don't find it again(seemed useful to limit some reading errors...)

Modern drives automatically change their speed to match the disc, no better quality by manually slowing it.
