Problems with the last track on every disc

Hey there!

I bought dbpoweramp a few weeks ago because because I'm one of those weirdos who still collect CDs in 2023. Have been using Exact Audio Copy for more than 15 years now but switched since I got some issues with some CDs from Japan which dbpoweramp ripped (mostly) just fine. But I got one problem which I couldn't fix yet. The last track on every disc I ripped so far takes longer than all other tracks combined. I rip with Ultra Secure Ripping which works fine for all other tracks, the last track though always gets stuck in Re-Rip for like 15-20min. Ultimately it finishes with some errors in the log but the track has no errors that I'm able to hear.

The suggestion there was to disable the "Read into Lead-in or Lead-out" option in the settings, which was disabled by default in my case.

Any ideas about what I can do to fix that would be greatly appreciated.

PS: If the disc is in the accurate rip database it rips without issues, even the last track.

Hey! Already did that too.
I got 2 drives, one LG (HL-DT-STDVDRAM GH22NS50) and one Pioneer (PIONEER BD-RW BDR-207). Both have the same issues with the last track.

Post a the top of a ripping log please which shows all the settings used.

It looks like the secure ripper is doing its job, re-ripping those frames at the end of the disc which are giving errors from the drive.

If you put a brand new store bought CD in, does it do the same for the last track?

Sadly yes,

as you can see to two logs I posted are from both of my drives. I ripped around a dozen CDs over the last 3 months and all of them were brand new . This is why I highly doubt it's an issue with those discs. At the same time, I never had this kind of behavior when I used EAC (which I used exclusively with the DVD drive) + both drives show this problem with dbpoweramp. And I can't imagine both drives having the same defect. And like I said, if the disc is in the accurate rip database, it works flawlessly. I'm really at a loss here.

Are those two drives of the same models?

They do have the same offset, it is possible they are similar internals.

All I can say is, i bought them years apart and they are different brands on top of that (also one them is a DVD the other a Bluray Drive).

Anyway, I just ordered two new drives and will do some tests when they arrive. Then I'll share any news here. Thanks so far for your help.
