Stop CD Ripper from starting when CD is inserted

Hi All,

I have an annoying problem which I can't seem to find an answer to ...

Whenever I insert an audio CD into my Windows 11 PC, (an external USB DVD/RW drive) CD Ripper starts up and I would like to stop that from happening.

I have checked Settings->Bluetooth & Devices->Autoplay->Removable drive->Take no action

Also, in the registry, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\cdrom\Autorun is set to 0

I can't find an option in the CD Ripper settings to disable autorun and from reading some posts from a few years back, it seems there used to be this option, I'm using the latest Release 17.4 (x64) version.

Any suggestions welcome!

It not a setting in dBpoweramp, rather in Windows, it would appear when you first inserted an audio CD and it would ask what action you would like to take, I do not know the location of this in Windows 11, perhaps they are removed it.

There is still a setting which you can manage in the UI. The german path to it is:

Systemsteuerung\Hardware und Sound\Automatische Wiedergabe

So in the english UI it must be something like

System Control\Hardware and Sound\Automatic Replay

Why don't you try to set it in the UI instead of editing the registry?

I did, but it doesn't work. CD Ripper still starts if I insert a CD. The only way to stop it is to turn off autoplay altogether, but that stops other autoplay features from working, like when I insert USB thumb drive.
