Bad rips????

I just ripped approximately 1000 tracks over the course of a couple of days. Some 40%of them are coming up with bit rates of 705 which is about half as all are ripped to wav. What could be causing this?

On Windows? hold your mouse over the wave file, it should say:

channels 2(stereo)
sample rate 44.1khz
sample size: 16 bit
bit rate: 1411 kbps (cd)

I figured out what happened the moment I tried to re-rip something I must have accidentally switched the Bit Depth tab to 8 Bit. It just a matter of ripping about 20 or so albums.
