    Inverse Offset Query

    Hi Spoon.

I use CD Ripper for almost everything ripping related, but do use EAC for a tiny part of my workflow.

In CD Ripper, my offset for my main drive drive is +6. However, in EAC it is -6.

I wanted to see if this is correct despite the values being 12 apart, or do they map somehow?

    Thanks.

    Re: Inverse Offset Query

I may have answered my own question and it might be down to semantics.

It would appear AccurateRip uses the phrase offset correction, and EAC uses the word offset. Also discovered this was under 'Writing' and not 'Reading'.

So with my drive, it requires an offset correction of +6 (to get to a value of 0) given the offset of the drive itself is -6. In this case, data is extracted 6 samples too early and therefore a delay by 6 samples is needed.

Hopefully, using the different values in the two programs is the right choice.
