    No CD in drive?

My ripper won't recognize my cd drive. This is insane, it is connected and working and playing discs. But the ripper says "no audio cd inserted." But there is a cd inserted.
I feel like I just wasted money on the software. This should be so easy! Anyone have a solution?

Mac/PC? What OS are you on? Internal/external drive? This is probably easier to answer if you share some details.

I use a Mac Mini ( os system is macos Monterey ) My source drive is an LG- Super Multi and the burner is a Mercury Pro Super Multi DVD Multi Recorder.
      I hope this helps.

        See:

macOS Catalina (or newer) introduces per program security access settings, normally OS X will ask when the program tries to access something if it should be granted permission. This security setting can also be set at a later date, click the Apple menu icon: System Preferences >> Security & Privacy >>
