CD Writer does not find any CD or DVD drive

CD Writer does not see any CD or DVD drive; "no CD writers found". Yet dBpoweramp CD Ripper does see the USB CD (DVD) drive connected to this laptop.

I am pretty sure it worked on this PC before the upgrade to Windows 11 Professional. Other CD writing apps such as Windows Media Player Legacy have no problem writing to the drive.

Can anyone help?

Oh dear. Can you recommend an alternative? Something that checks thoroughly the correctness of the new created disc?
