Discogs and Musicbrainz metadata no longer working

I'm in the process of burning 1200+ CDs, but suddenly Discogs and Musicbrainz metadata is no longer working. The options are greyed out when you review the metadata. I have Reference R17.7 Family Pack, R2022-11-25 release. I've tried completey uninstalling and reinstalling.

It sounds like you have a trial version which has expired. Look at dBpoweramp Control Centre, it will tell of the registration status.

It says "Reference registered. 515 days of updates. Fully registered, no restrictions."

Then it is likely your security software which is blocking. First check the date and time which should be correct, this is required for HTTPS.

Windows settings are set the time automatically, set the time zone automatically. What should I be looking for specifically on security software?

I can see that CDGrab.exe has full access.

Restart your computer in safemode with Networking:

Before running CD ripper ensure you can browse the internet, then try a very popular CD and see what happens (put it in the drive and press the refresh button on the tool bar so it is read again from the internet).

Thanks Spoon for your help. Turns out that I'd hit a selection of obscure CDs which weren't in either database, when I tried a popular CD again it was working fine. Sorry for wasting anyones time.
