Can't listen to music I ripped in my car

I have ripped numerous CDs using the CD Ripper and have no issues listening on my laptop. But I copied the music on a thumb drive and inserted it in my car, but none of the music ripped using CD Ripper shows up in my car display. What am I doing wrong? Before using dBpoweramp, I used the CD burner on my laptop and all music burned prior to using dBpoweramp plays in my car. What gives? Any help in resolving this dilemma is appreciated.

Perhaps you car cannot play the type of file you are writing, try creating some mp3 files.
