This application is not designed to run on its own

Hi its Jeff Tedesco...still ripping Cds. Much to talk about.
I just downloaded and installed R17.7. I'm running it on a Win 10.
I've disabled all the firewalls. I only get data from GD3 which I have an account for. No other data is showing up.
I keep getting prompts that say "This application is not designed to run on its own" I have to click it 4 times each CD to get it to pull just GD3. What is going on? No Musicbrainz, no freedb. Is AMG still around?
    please advise.
Also been trying to connect batch ripper to a Media technics robot and cannot establish a connection with the serial comm port. My old drivers are all scripted for com3, but new DB poweramp 17 won't connect to robot (loader code). It finds the CD/DVD drives just fine.
    suggestions?
    i'd love to connect again.

You would need to update Batch Ripper to the latest, all the metadata providers have changed, AMG is gone. See if that helps the issue.
