    Ripping a DSD CD

    DBPowerAMP version 17.5.

Just loaded a Train "Drops of Jupiter" and it was a DSD CD.

DBPoweramp treated like a blank CD.

Is there a way to load it and rip it.

It looks like there might be a Codec download.

    Re: Ripping a DSD CD

CD Ripper rips 16-bit, 44.1kHz red book audio CDs (CDDA or CD-DA).

I suspect your disc is a single layer SACD i.e., the single layer is a hi-resolution layer.

Hybrid SACDs have two layers, the hi-res layer plus a 16-bit, 44.1kHz red book audio layer.

CD Ripper can only rip the rip the 16-bit, 44.1kHz red book audio layer of a hybrid SACD but it will not see the hi-res layer.

google for programs that can rip audio from DVDs or BluRay. dbpa can't do this.
