Rotation speed doesn't rise up to the Maximum in CD Ripper

This is my first post to this site.

I have been used CD ripper without any problem for more than 5 years, but recently rotation speed of the CD drive does not rise up to its maximum(40X).(Ripping itself is correctly done.)I tried ripping in another drive, but result was the same. Could anyone help me?

Drives themselves decide on the ripping speed, if you have a x40 maximum drive, it is unlikely it would reach that normally ripping an audio cd.

Thank you for your reply. In my PC, Ripping has usually been carried out at the maximu rotation speed(X40) for these 5 years. However, since two weeks ago, rotation speed came to reach X20 at most. This situation is the same in case of using another drive in same PC, so I think it is not caused by drive but by some PC Condition, such as memory or HDD capacity. I would be happy if you could give me comment from this point of view.

It is the drive 100% or the disc you are ripping.
