dBpoweramp and Hyper-V

I had hoped to run dBPowerAMP in a virtual machine on a Hyper-V Host (Server) however it doesn't seem possible as the software does not detect the physical drives connecting to the virtual machine whilst using an RDP session. I'm assuming this fuctionality will not be looked into as it's so specific but would be good to know if I'm going wrong somewhere.

Host Machine vs VM - group policy settings does not seem to have worked.

The cd drive should be passed through on a dedicated controller through vt-d passthrough, sharing as a hyper-v drive stops any low level access to it.
