DB PA Ogg Vorbis rip wont then play on ancient Iriver H340

Hi All

I have an ancient 2004 Iriver H340 which still sounds awesome. It does support Ogg Vorbis but when I rip to OV using the auto encoder settings and then transfer the music file, the H340 just scrolls through the list of tracks but refuses to play any. Does anyone have any idea what Im doing wrong?

Nothing wrong, just your player is not compatible with the latest ogg files perhaps. First try removing the album art from the files, if still does not play, then you would likely need an old ogg encoder.

Thanks very much Spoon for the response. I tried removing the album art jpg but unfortunately that doesn't help. Could you kindly recommend an old ogg encoder that would be good to use? Thank you

It is not easy to find a 10 year old ogg encoder, we do not have one. It would be easier to use mp3 instead as the format as choice.
