Is the upgrade worth it?

I mainly use the ripper to load my new CD's onto my computer into .flac

Currently I am using dBpoweramp Reference R15.3

Are there any features/benefits worth $28 in upgrading to version 17?

It was for me. See this link for a list of changes/improvements. Can't recall which version, but I suspect your version doesn't access many of the metadata providers anymore do to changes on their side. Ver 17.1 *does* access these metadata providers with no issues.

Wow... that's quite the list of improvements there. Surely it can only be better.

If nothing else, I'll give them some support money. I've used it a good bit, very handy.
