I purchased dBpoweramp license about 2 years ago and have not had great results finding meta tags for audiobooks. The ripper usually does not find any tags and occasionally finds tags for some volumes/discs but not for others. It is rare that the ripper finds consistent tags for all volumes/discs in an audiobook. In 100% of the failed cases, both WMP and iTunes find at least Name/Chapter, Album and Artist.
The only reason I have stuck with dBpoweramp for this purpose is its ability to simultaneously create more than one format. However, I am seriously reconsidering if this advantage outweighs the unreliability of its meta tagging.
Any thoughts on this issue will be appreciated.
BTW the ripper could use an "Audiobook" choice in the drop down for Genre.
