A have more than a few Sony Classical cds that have the words "For this recording 20-bit technology was used for "high-definition sound." Does this mean I should select "as source" when ripping to WAV? Or do I choose the standard 16 bit selection? What would be the appropriate setting? I'm wondering if the Sony 20-bit was used and the cd encoded using 16 bit. Many thanks for answers to these questions!

The actual CD produced was 16/44.1. The "20 bit" was a bit of fluff advertising related I assume to things at the mastering level. You would simply rip these CDs as standard CDs.
