Disc load 1 minute delay every time

Hi,

I have a Kodak KDK-1000. On the three systems I have tested (Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows 10), Batch Ripper or CD Ripper take a full minute between the cd-tray closing and obtaining meta data.

Is there any solution to removing this delay?

Hi,

The delay occurs before the meta data stage, during the "Post-Load Waiting for CD" stage. It also takes a long time for Windows to recognize any inserted disc via this USB drive. There is discussion about this being a USB bug in some versions of Windows, but I am seeing it in every version I have tried.

I have the default providers selected:

dBpoweramp cache
Discogs
Musicbrainz
GD3
Freedb

If it takes Windows a long time to detect a loaded disc, this will impact CD/Batch Ripper also.

Of course; however there are several discussions that state this is related to a usb driver problem, windows version, or a drive setting.

I'm hoping someone here has solved the problem.
