    Files are not correctly shown

I had not ripped CD for more than six months.
When I ripped a CD as I bought a new PC a few weeks ago, I found two problems.
First, The music files (FLAC) are saved in the folder on the network assisted server (NAS). However, it shows that the file is updated (saved in the folder) on 2000/01/01.
Second, I can see the file on PC but cannot on other devices including the network receiver, iPad and iPhone.
Is there anybody who would be able to help me clear those problems?

Firstly check the date and time on the NAS and computer, they have to be correct. 2000/1/1 is perhaps a starting date for a computer with a flat battery (so forgets the date each power down).

How does the iPad browse the NAS? through UPnP? what make is the nas?

      Hi, thanks for your reply.
I will look into NAS. However. please note that all files saved until last December show the dates I ripped.
Does it likely to happen in your understanding?

      Regards,

The computer or NAS control the date, not the program doing the ripping. Like if you were to create a new Word document, it is not word which sets the file date, it is Windows.

Hi, the problem has been solved. Thank you for your advice.
May I ask you a bit more help?
I have deleted the files dated 2000/01/01 from NAS including those remained in trashbox.
However, the files appear in other devices (i.e. iPhone)although they are unplayable.
Do you have any idea to fix this?

          Regards,

Sorry I do not, it depends on the NAS and the programs running on the nas.
