album splitting

I've just installed dBpoweramp and I've encountered a couple of albums that are split into multiple albums. The total number of tracks are there, but in multiple albums. What causes this and what should I do about it? I use Groove music as my player. (no doubt there are better choices and perhaps that's the problem not the rip). I confess to mediocre technical skills here but I've found dBpoweramp to be not only user friendly, it's also idiot friendly.

You need to change the ID tags for that album, either:

1) set the 'album artist' to the same value for that one album

or

2) Set the 'compilation' tag to 1
