CD Ripper Hogs Windows Media Player

When I rip CD's, I insert a disk and if I am listening to Windows Media Player (playing any media file), it abruptly stops the player. Is there a way to prevent this? Why is the Ripper taking control of the Windows Media Player? I'm ripping a CD not trying to play a CD.

CD Ripper cannot control Windows Media Player, however you need to check that WMP is not trying to rip the CD.
