    Metadata Question

So i'm on a Mac, firewall disabled, and dB wont retrieve metadata for a disc, but XLD will. I'm assuming dB is just not pulling CD-Text and XLD is? what can I do to verify?

I switched to dB because I am about to tackle a very large batch job (3000+ cds) with an Acronova autoloader but if it cant pull metadata from discs its going to be essentially useless for me as many are obscure and not in the online databases.

Edit: I should also mention i'm on Mojave using v16.5 and that the test disc i'm using is on Discogs but not retrieved.

We're sorry but Mac version of dBpoweramp CD Ripper currently does not support CD-Text extraction.

      Re: Metadata Question

... addressed in newly released beta update:
R16.6 beta continues where R16.5 beta was abandoned - R16.5 stable was made from a different code branch adding bug fixes on top of R16.4 codebase. Current version: R16.6 beta 9 Notable differences from R16.5 stable: Supports Mac OS Mojave Dark Mode Lowest supported Mac OS version is 10.10 "Yosemite". OSX Mavericks

Once you tick CD-Text in active metadata providers, CD-Text information will be read.

        Re: Metadata Question

i'm fine with a beta version as long as it works... and in this case it did. So this may actually turn out to be a functional solution for me.
