    Disc detection problems

I have a rather unusual conundrum. I did a quick search on the forum and it appears others have had a similar problem. To make a long story short, when I open the ripper and load a CD, the disc is properly detected. I had the ripper configured to automatically eject if all tracks are accurate. Here’s where the problems start. The second, third, and each subsequent disc is not detected. I have to hit the retry button every time for the disc to be detected.

The only significant change to my system recently has been an update of the motherboard’s BIOS.

The one trick that seems to resolve this issue to disable auto eject.

I do not know what to suggest, sorry.

I believe the situation has resolved itself, somehow. I'm not exactly sure how. Maybe it was a fluke.

I don't know if this made a difference or not, but I installed the most recent chipset driver from the motherboard manufacturer's website. I had never bothered with installing the motherboard drivers before. The ones Windows installed always seemed to work. But ASUS "strongly" recommended installing this version of the chipset driver (or later) with this BIOS. So, that's what I did.

Disc detection appears to be functioning normally at this time.
