CD Ripper not seeing my disc drive

Hello,
I am unable to select my external DVD drive. CD drive says [no disc inserted]. I am unable to select the external drive. Thing is, it worked before I upgraded to the latest version.
Help!

The internal drive works? (if you have one) can you see the external drive in Windows Explorer?

I'm on a MacBook Pro with no internal drive. It seemed to work before I upgraded. I can see the disc in the Finder, and iTunes recognizes it.

You would need an audio CD already loaded in the drive before launching CD Ripper
