Has anyone else noticed that metadata is slow to download recently? Is one of the data sources offline?

Re: Metadata slowness
Perhaps:
The AMG metadata service is being phased out and will be switched off around July 2016. It is in our plans to replace AMG with alternative metadata (discogs is the likely replacement). dBpoweramp R16 will release around July 2016, it will include an alternative database. Batch Ripper after July 2016 will only access: GD3, -
Re: Metadata slowness
Thanks. I experienced that, and already have the upgraded version. Something else seems to be going on.Comment

You need to insert a CD to access that menu.
I have tested R16, it took 10 seconds to read metadata from all 4 providers.Comment

Re: Metadata slowness
I've had the same thing start happening. The change occurred when I had to build a new rig, which put me into a Ryzen 7 chip and Windows 10 (was running an E5 Xeon on Win7, prior), but otherwise am running on R16. For me, it takes a little while. Possibly around the 30-45 second range. It's not that big a deal to be, but I figure it's worth noting.Comment

Try unchecking providers until know which is causing slowdown.Comment

Re: Metadata slowness
I've been chasing down some odd problems and finally had to disable HPET. (Kind of a long story there, and I may get into that in a different thread later)
Since then, metadata has loaded as fast as it used to on my old rig.Comment
