Converter is slower since ths last upgrade

I have just purchase the latest tool for ripping and converting flac to MP3
previously the program would rip 100 X speed, and now after the new version its 58 Time
is there a setting somewhere I need to tweek. Again the only change is the program.
PC is a 8 core amd so all 8 cors are converting but slower

100x speed off a CD drive is very very fast, 58x is perhaps more normal. Ripping speed is often self decided by the CD drive, based on the quality of the cd disc.

My speed is x0.2. This os totally impractical. Any idea what is causing this?

You would have to furnish us with more details, which OS, what format are you converting to? are you ripping CDs or converting one format to another, where are you converting to? local HDD or external flash, or NAS drive?
