Program hangs accessing scanner (Albulm artwork)

My older version work fine, access scanner, scanner software came up all fine.


After the upgrade, when I attempt to access the scanner, I get the spinning icon that say I'm busy, and the scanner software never comes up. After I terminate the program, my scanner software starts.

Which version are you using? Windows or Mac, which previous version worked?

Using 16.4 now, windows 7 pro 64 bit. Previous version released 2013

Do you still have R14? it would be interesting to try it once more.

Yes, I still have it, I will reinstall and try again. He had been working prior to upgrade. I Use Vipre antivirus, and the default system firewall.

OK, I ran some test today. Reinstalled R14, it accesses scanner with no problem. 16.4 will access the scanner ONE time, after that it hangs.

The difference is that the 64 bit version of dBpoweramp accesses the 64 bit drivers for the scanner, it could be these are miss-behaving. You might be best forcing the 32 bit version of dBpweramp to install:

I think the only scanner drivers were 32 bit. Caught the error on shutdown. Recovered a backup Pre-install release 16. Reinstalled 32 bit version and ALL IS WELL!

I recovered a system backup prior to install of R16, installed as 32bit, works fine now. I believe my scanner drivers are only 32bit. Happy system now!
