CD Ripper doesn't retrieve ANY meta data

I've been using dbPoweramp Reference R14 for about 6 years and ripped thousands of CDs. Just tried to rip a CD today (didn't rip for a while) and i didn't get ANY meta data. I upgraded to R16 because i thougth it could be a problem related to the last Windows 10 update, but the problem's the same :(

Here's what i checked so far:

- Windows Firewall is disabled
- Sophos Antivirus is enabled but was before when CD Ripper was working

The problem of R14 is that AMG has discontinued its service and finally stopped its servers in spring: click!

Regarding R16: please try to disable Sophos and retry to rip a CD. Maybe R16 is blocked by Sophos while R14 was not.

I already disabled AMG on R14 but both R14 and R16 won't get any meta data. There's no easy way of disabling Sophos to test, but it worked before, so i don't understand why it doesn't now. Only thing changed was the latest Windows update !?

just disabled all possible scans in Sophos AV but still no meta data

Windows update will not stop the metadata, you need to uninstall all security software as a test to rule it out.

Just uninstalled Sophos and disabled Windows Defender Firewall and the builtin Antivirus with no change. Still no meta data ...

Try a popular CD >> and retrieve manually from Freedb (by selecting 'Retrieve from' menu item).

Just tested a disc i already ripped and suddenly the other discs got meta data too ... seems to work now
