Using a remote CD drive with CD Ripper

Hi,

Has anyone used the Remote CD facility on a Mac. I can access the remote cd through my iMac and can play CDs, but the CD Ripper software does not recognise the CD drive.

If anyone can give my advice on how to get the CD Ripper to link to the remote CD drive I would be very grateful.
