Can't find DSP effect HDCD in Mac version 16.2

I cannot figure out how to turn on the HDCD facility in the trial version 16.2 on a Mac (high Sierra). This version is supposed to support HDCD, but I can't find any way to get to it.

    Thx.

The HDCD support is for Windows only, because Microsoft is the owner of the HDCD patents. But that's no problem at all, because there are only a few HDCD CDs and the usual 16bit rips will be decoded as HDCD if your hardware is capable to handle HDCD.

      I have hundreds of HDCDs.

Seems I need a decoder for the rips.

I'd thought that ver 16.x would take care of HCDs but thx for setting me straight - glad I didn't buy the full version

There is no specific setting for HDCD processing - you have to add 'HDCD' to the list of active DSP effects.

Middle part of the CD Ripper bottom pane => choose "DSP" tab => "Add New" button => HDCD.
