    I would put The following
    ALBUMARTIST: Eric Clapton
    ALBUMARTISTSORT: Clapton, Eric
    ARTIST: Derek & the Dominos
    ARTISTSORT: Derek & the Dominos
OK, cheers. I will tag it that way.

I never knew the name 'Derek' was fictitious!

Cheers Oggy. I will use the word 'and' instead.

I use the ampersand in the STYLE: 'R&B' though.

        "R&B" is in wide use.

          Hi,

I have been ripping some Steely Dan (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steely_Dan) CDs recently.

For ARTIST and ARTIST SORT, I have used:
          Steely Dan

          Steely Dan

But for ALBUM ARTIST (and SORT), would you use:
          Steely Dan

          Steely Dan

          or
          Walter Becker; Donald Fagen

          Becker, Walter; Fagen, Donald

          Thanks.

You're joking right? Steely Dan is the bands name, not a first and last name (and the name was taken from the name of an oversized, steam-powered strap-on sex toy mentioned in the William Burroughs famous book "Naked Lunch"). Would you sort Pink FLoyd as Floyd, Pink.

              It was a typo.

                aha!

and I would use Steely Dan, not the two individuals, as this is the actual band Steely Dan, not individual work.

I have corrected the error now.

OK, cheers, I will go with STEELY DAN for all respective fields.

                    Hi,

I am ripping a Country & Western greatest-hits (compilation) CD:

How would you tag ARTIST SORT for Billie Jo Spears, please?
                    Spears, Jo, Billie

                    Spears, Billie Jo

                    Many thanks.

                          Hi,

I am just tagging a Country & Western compilation CD in which one of the artists has an ampersand, as well as a surname, in the band-name. I am not sure if this makes any difference to the way ARTIST SORT is compiled, please?:

(Eddy Arnold & His Tennessee Plowboys)
Arnold, Eddy, & His Tennessee Plowboys?

(Roy Acuff & His Smokey Mountain Boys)
Acuff, Roy, & His Smokey Mountain Boys

                          Thanks a lot.

                                Paul,

If I had no more music by Eddie Arnold and Roy Acuff, I wouldn't use sort tags.

Bob Marley And The Wailers, however, I would.
